Sometimes it’s hard to do luxury shopping. We’re all on a tight budget, and have bills every month. Once in a while I enjoy having the chance to treat myself to a brand that I normally wouldn’t spend the money on and pray to the beauty Gods that it’s actually worth the money. This time I’m trying out the Chantecaille Just Skin Tinted Moisturizer.
I was browsing Neiman Marcus when I stopped by the Chantecaille booth. I’m not going to lie, I was there to check out that $70 mascara that Tai (GlamLifeGuru on YouTube) was raving about. I’m a mascara junkie and I wanted to try that out. She was out, and while I was waiting I remembered that many people were raving about the tinted moisturizer. The woman there applied it to my skin and I was shocked.
Tinted Moisturizers are light coverage, which is what I prefer. But here’s where this one stands out. My skin still looked absolutely amazing, and I needed very minimal concealer. I can’t say this about other tinted moisturizers, which is okay.
Just Skin is really the perfect name for the product, because you don’t feel anything on your skin. It feels so nice, and the coverage is great for a tinted moisturizer, and it lasts all day on my skin as long as I use a primer. I was matched in Nude and that is the perfect shade for me. It looks like I’m not wearing anything on my face, which is a nice bonus. Because I do get a little oily throughout the day, I do touch up with a powder to control the shine.
Now I have some bad news, the price. This is considered a luxury line so it’s going to be expensive. I mean the mascara I mentioned I wanted to get was around $70. The Just Skin Tinted Moisturizer isn’t much more at $72. Now, because you freak out, I only own two other bottles of foundation. One of them is about halfway finished. I never have more than two bottles, but I completely forgot about my MAKE foundation when I purchased this. Also I do wear tinted moisturizers all year so I knew this would be worth the splurge.
If you are like me and don’t always want to wear a medium to full coverage foundation and don’t mind the price, I highly recommend checking this out. It’s really amazing and worth every penny. If the quality is there, especially in a face product, I’m okay with spending the money.
Let me know if you tried the Chantecaille tinted moisturizer and your thoughts on it!
