ELF AQUA Beauty and Beautifully Bare Collection
Did you know that you can find high quality products under $10 at the drugstore? It’s true! While doing some shopping at Target I had to stop in the makeup section to see if they had anything new. On display were new AQUA Beauty and Beautifully Bare products from ELF Cosmetics.
While the majority of ELF products are $1 these were just a little bit more, but let me tell you, amazing! Products that I picked up ranged from $4 to $8, which is a pretty awesome deal. Plus five percent off if you use your Target card; an additional five cents if you use your own reusable bag.
From the AQUA Beauty Line I picked up two items, the Aqua-Infused Blush and Bronzer in Bronzed Pink Beige ($6), and the Radiant Gel Lip Tint in Dewy Berry ($4).
The blush and bronzer duo has such an interesting texture. When I first swatched this I thought it was a cream product, which I don’t normally use since I have combination oily skin. It feels creamy in the pan, but as soon as I swatched it on my arm for photos it was a powder. It’s nicely pigmented, more pigmented than the original, applies so evenly, and blends like a dream. The blush is absolutely stunning, and the bronzer works great against my light-medium skin tone. I prefer this 100 percent to the original! The packaging is different took. It’s still sleek black, but it has a shine to it, where as I think the original was a matte, similar to the NARS packaging.
The lip tint is pretty nice. It has good pigmentation for a drugstore lip tint, it doesn’t have a bad scent, and lasts a good part of the day. I will say I do suffer from dry lips and I needed a lip conditioner to keep the tint from drying out my lips. If your lips get dry easily, wear a conditioner, but if you don’t have this issue you should be good to go.
From the Beautifully Bare collection I went with two products, the Nautral Glow Face Palette in Fresh & Flawless ($6), and the Sheet Tint Finishing Powder in Light/Medium ($8).
The Finishing Powder I didn’t really test out that much since it was too dark for my skin. I did a few tests at home and it is crazy smooth, and applies beautifully. I didn’t really put this to the test so I can’t say how long the shine stayed away, but I did like it based on how much I used it. I plan on returning this and hopefully finding it in the shade light.
The Natural Glow palette is really pretty. Sleek packaging, not crazy large, and you’re getting in a great amount of product for the price. While the colors are so beautiful, they didn’t really show up on my skin. The highlight is stunning and subtle, which is how I prefer my highlight. Unfortunately the bronzer is just too light for me. I think if you like the no makeup, makeup look and/or you have a light skin tone you’re going to love this palette. At this price, it’s definitely worth trying out.
