There are many face primers on the market that sometimes it’s hard to find the one that’s going to work best for your skin. Having the right primer could mean to long-lasting makeup, no breakouts, and better looking skin. I recently tested out the Studio Gear Prime Objective Skin Perfecting Face Primer and I have to say I’m impressed.

I’m currently going back and forth between the Benefit POREfessional and the Smashbox Photo Finish Pore Minimizing Primer. Based on these two you can probably tell the type of primer that I’m looking for. While winter is just beginning here, during the summer I do have oily skin and issues with my pores. I also have pores around my nose that are from wearing glasses every day. It’s my goal to hide the pores and make sure my makeup is  going to last all day. This is what I’m looking for with Studio Gear’s Face Primer.

For $30 you’re getting a 1 oz bottle that’s really nice, sleek packaging. It’s a plastic bottle and small in size, which makes it perfect for traveling. I absolutely love that there’s a pump, which keeps the product clean and sanitary. This is probably one of the most important aspects that I’m looking for with packaging. The primer is clear and thin consistency, but I do see a nice shine to it. It feels pretty slick, but applies to the skin beautifully. The best part, there’s no scent. If you are like me and allergic to fragrance and scents, this is great.

I’ve only been using the Skin Perfecting Face Primer for a few days and it’s really working out great. It’s not irritating my skin, it goes on smoothly, and actually keeps my makeup on my face. Nothing has slid off, or looked really bad while out in the sun. For $30, it’s not as pricey as other high end brands, and works just as good if not better than them. I’m looking forward to seeing how the primer works during the summer months when my skin really changes and a primer is mandatory!
