It’s 2017 and it’s time for a change. Every year I always tell myself things are going to change, and they never do. After a horrible year personally and professionally, it’s going to stick this year. Instead of setting impossible goals for myself, i’m going to create obstacles that I want to overcome.
Getting Finances on Track
2016 definitely wasn’t my year financially. I learned the hard way that you can’t always “just throw it on a credit card” when things happen unexpectedly. Sometimes you have to learn the hard way right? For 2017 I’m creating a realistic financial plan to help get me out of debt completely or 90 percent by the end of 2017. I don’t owe a TON, but enough to stress me out, and this is a realistic goal for me.
I’d like to think that I’m a fairly healthy person. Would I like to lose weight? Of course! I’m no where near where I should be. However, I’m not an unhealthy eater. I don’t eat fast food, I don’t drink, and I don’t eat candy. I want to try and plan out my meals for the week, and meal prep so that all I have to do is pull out the container and heat it up. What makes it easier are all of the amazing, and healthy recipes on Pinterest. I also want to work out more, starting with three days a week.
I’m going to hustle this year! I want to spend more time working on my blog, attending more blogger events, and meeting new people. I love writing, testing out new makeup items, and people able to hang out with other people who share the same interest. I also want to spend more time working on my Etsy shop. I found the planning community almost two years ago and I absolutely love it! I opened my own printable stickers shop and I’d like to really keep it going and spend more time on it.
Getting Back to Writing
I have m my degree in Journalism and I love writing. I stopped writing a couple of years ago and that’s one of my biggest regrets. I want to get back into writing by taking on some freelance work while doing my full-time job. It’s important to do what you love and what makes you happy, and writing does that for me.
There are other things I’d like to accomplish in 2017, but I wanted to keep this blog post short and sweet. What are some of your goals or resolutions for 2017?
