‘Trading Spaces’ Making Its Return to TLC
One of my favorite shows to watch several years ago was ‘Trading Spaces’ on TLC. It was a designing show, which ran from 2000 to 2008, where neighbors trade homes for a couple of days and work with a popular designer to re-do a room in their house on a $1,000 budget. This made for amazing television because some designers didn’t care what the home owners want and just come up with a design they feel is fabulous. One of the most infamous episodes is the one where she hated the fireplace.
According to reports on YAHOO, the announcement was made at TLC’s upfront presentation by the network president Nancy Daniels. “This is a big one,” she said. “I am excited to announced that TLC’s most successful and most iconic series … is coming back.”
The first season was hosted by Alex McLeod, with Paige Davis taking over the rest of the series. Ty Pennington, who was a carpenter on the show, because a household name and went on to host the popular ABC series, ‘Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’.
