If you’re looking to get your hands on a high quality palette without spending a lot, you may want to pay a visit to Sephora. Viseart is a popular brand where many makeup artists and enthusiasts are raving about the eye shadows. While the quality and size is there, the price is a little steep for many people. I mention the size since you’re getting a lot more shadow than you do with other brands. The brand now has a smaller, more affordable palette called the Theory Palette.
The Theory Palette features six shadows, three are matte and three are shimmery. Right now there are three palette options available: Theory I Cashmere, Theory II Minx, Theory III Chroma. To test out the brand, I went the neutral route with Cashmere. This is a gorgeous every day palette that is perfect for every day wear or to smudge out for a night out with friends or for a date night.
I’ve had my eyes on the large palettes, but I was never able to make a purchase because of the price. I purchased this a while back during the Sephora VIB sale so I did get it at a discount (retail price is $45). Each shadow is .13 oz, which is a good amount of product. Not to mention each shadow is insanely pigmented, even when used with a makeup brush. They apply like a dream! They are buttery soft and blend easily, even the matte shadows. I love when shadows are easily to work with, and these are! Because I have oily eye lids a primer is required with these shadows, otherwise the shadows crease fairly quickly. This happens to me with every brand.
While these shades are not anything special or unique, I think this neutral palette is perfect for anyone starting out in makeup looking for a quality neutral palette and don’t necessarily need a palette of 12 shadows. Especially if you won’t use all of those shadows. This is actually a great starter palette for people getting out of college and want neutral makeup to wear to their new jobs. What’s even better is that it’s fairly compact so you can easily bring it with you. The packaging isn’t cheap so you won’t have to worry about anything breaking.
Viseart is an amazing brand and now I can finally see why bloggers, YouTubers, and makeup artists are raving about these shadows. If you haven’t tried these, I highly recommend checking out these palettes the next time you are at Sephora. If anything, wait for their next sale in November and save a little bit more.
